Dr. Little Jim’s veterinary career has allowed for a vast range of experiences. He has worked as a veterinarian in the U.S. Army, a contractor for the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine (FDA-CVM), and a rural veterinarian in a small animal clinic in Virginia. Since 2014 he has worked at the Animal Emergency Center in Oklahoma City as an emergency clinician.
Dr. Little Jim’s special interests include internal medicine, critical care, soft tissue surgery and fracture repairs. He enjoys a challenging case and the “puzzle” of medicine remains his favorite part of the career.
Outside of work Dr. Little Jim enjoys spending time with his wife Trista and daughter Siena. They enjoy camping, hiking and traveling together along with their two dogs Tobi and Delilah. Other hobbies for Dr. Little Jim include watching Siena ice skate, wood working, small construction projects, fishing, gardening, and anything outside.
Together, Dr. Little Jim and Dr. Bachman hope to build a team of veterinary professionals to provide top notch customer service and healthcare to the pets of the Oklahoma City metro area that will honor the legacy of Dr. Benham and the standard of care he established at Wedgewood Pet Clinic.
